This programme is directed at youth (18-35 years old), who require support, information, and knowledge to guide them to reach their goals in life. The course equips the learner with essential skills that includes a consciousness of brand reputation, people-centric approaches, positive intelligence, communication skills and how to work with conflict at work to name a few topics.

Our triad model of delivery runs through all our programmes and has a golden thread that's found in Health, Education and Alternative Dispute Resolution and which addresses the overlooked constructs of Equality Diversity and Inclusion which strives to achieve Social Cohesion.

Overview

The TimiaAfrica’s Youth Work Readiness Programme (YWR) is the foundation of a lifelong learning road which incorporates immersive sessions that applies experiential learning to simulate the youth into real-life work situations.  The programme is directed at youth between the ages of 18 and 35 years of age. This content will develop, uplift and upskill those who are either unemployed or employed and seeking to change careers. The YWR programme will improve the opportunities for young people to become more employable by creating a confident and professional potential employee, while communicating with skill in complex situations.

Research shows that there is a huge demand for skills in technology and health, but this requires investment in human resources; a value that is not an expense.  TimiaAfrica has designed a viable solution that introduces the youth to skills, understanding and self-development which is required in the world of work.  This all-inclusive approach of “The Art of Conscious Leadership” programmes emphasises the value of being people- and environment-centric.

Modules- It's about content!

The YWR programme content concentrates on the human skills needed in the world of work and its related jobs.  The golden thread that runs through the programme is Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, which highlights the importance and relevance of Health, Education and Alternative Dispute Resolution in living, working and playing in a peaceful world.

The YWR programme includes the following modules and topics:

  1. Mindful Consciousness - Mental Health and its impact on the individual in work relationships.
  2. The Journey of Lifelong Learning - Preparing for the mental and emotional job seeking journey – Career options and strategic assessments.
  3. Healthy Communication - Building healthy work relationships with confidence, professionalism and knowledge.
  4. Communicating with Skill - Crafting the Professional CV’s and creative interviewing techniques.
  5. Conflict @ Work - Navigating through work conflict, relationships and yourself.


All modules have immersive sessions built into the programme.
